What Twinly is

Twinly is a desktop AI agent for macOS and Windows that operates your real applications (browser, email, calendar, files, messages, and phone) as you, under an approval mode the owner chooses.

  • Platforms: macOS 4.1.4, Windows 1.1.0.
  • Every plan runs on Twinly's managed engine, so no API key is required. Only grandfathered beta builds (2.1.3 and earlier) use the owner's own model key. The Developer API draws on the same plan.
  • Pricing: Free $0, Starter $20/mo, Pro $50/mo, Max $100/mo.

What people hand it first.

  • It argues the bill down — A real phone call, in your voice, with your patience.
  • Inbox zero while you slept — Reads everything, archives the noise, drafts like you.
  • Forms fill themselves — PDFs, applications, returns. Filled in, with any password or card number left for you.
  • Errands, end to end — It drives the browser like a person, and in an asking mode stops at Pay.
  • It remembers for you — Birthdays, follow-ups, renewals. Handled before you ask.

Hand it the parts you never wanted.

  • It answers the phone. As you.
  • It sounds like you wrote it.
  • It drives the browser like a person.
  • Nothing leaves without you.

Ten minutes to a second you.

  1. 01 · Train it once

Ten minutes. Record a short voice sample, connect the accounts you want it to work, and it studies how you write.

  2. 02 · Ask in one line

“Book dinner Friday.” “Clear my inbox.” “Call the dentist and get me in this week.” Plain words, no prompt craft.

  3. 03 · Stay in the loop

It plans and executes on its own. Each text or email shows for 5 seconds before it goes, or set it to wait for your OK on every send.

How Twinly drives an application

Many computer-use agents only see a screenshot and guess where to click. Twinly uses the most direct way into each application first: the operating system's own interfaces for calendar, reminders, contacts, mail, and messages; an application's scripting interface; a connected app's own tools; and on websites, the page's own elements, so it fills fields by their labels and clicks by the words on buttons. It still looks at a screenshot after every step to see what actually happened, and works the screen with a real mouse and keyboard when an application offers nothing better.

  1. System interfaces — Calendar, Reminders, Contacts, Mail, Messages, and PDFs through the operating system's own frameworks.
  2. App scripting — An application's own scripting interface, driven with Apple Events on a Mac.
  3. Connectors — A connected app's own tools over the Model Context Protocol, after the owner signs in.
  4. Web page elements — A page's live controls: fields filled by their labels, buttons clicked by their words, each form read back after a change.
  5. The screen — The window's accessibility controls and text, with real mouse and keyboard input, when nothing above fits.

Every plan runs on Twinly's managed engine, so no API key is required. Only grandfathered beta builds (2.1.3 and earlier) use the owner's own model key. The Developer API draws on the same plan.

  • Free — $0 forever. 5 tasks a day. No card required. Every feature included.
  • Starter — $20 per month. Higher daily and weekly limits. Tasks, browsing, and real phone calls.
  • Pro — $50 per month. About 3x the Starter limits. For heavier days of tasks and calls.
  • Max — $100 per month. About 8x the Starter limits. For a twin that works all day.

Built like it handles your life. Because it does.

  • You set the leash — Approve every action, only what leaves your Mac, or let it act and see each text or email for 5 seconds before it goes.
  • Voice stays on device — Your voice is cloned on your own machine by Twinly's on-device engine. It never trains someone else's model.
  • Your data stays on your device — Messages, files, memory, and your voice never leave your computer. Diagnostics are optional and switch off in Settings.
  • Approval modes — The owner chooses how much Twinly asks: Ask me every time (every action that changes anything waits), Ask before it ships (anything that leaves the machine waits), or Don't ask, the default, where Twinly sends, spends, and deletes on its own and shows each text or email for 5 seconds before it goes so it can be stopped. In every mode, Twinly's questions, messages to family, and payments over the owner's spending limit wait for approval.
  • Undo and resume — Calendar events, reminders, and file changes Twinly makes can be undone for 30 minutes; sent messages, calls, and payments cannot, and the app says so. A task that stops partway can be picked up where it stopped without sending anything twice.
  • Tamper-evident audit log — Tool calls are written to a local audit log in which each entry carries a SHA-256 hash of the entry before it, so editing or removing a past entry breaks the chain and is detectable. The log keeps the most recent 1,000 entries.
  • Credential refusal — Twinly refuses to type Social Security numbers, passwords, and card numbers into any field, on any surface. It stages the rest of a form and asks the owner to enter that one value.
  • @twinly guests — When someone other than the owner texts @twinly in a shared conversation, they get a short reply that never shares anything private about the owner, or a picture if the owner allows it. Only the owner's own requests make Twinly act.

Common questions

What is Twinly?

Twinly is a desktop AI agent for macOS and Windows that operates your real applications (browser, email, calendar, files, messages, and phone) as you, under an approval mode the owner chooses.

Does Twinly work on Windows and Mac?

Yes. Twinly ships on both: macOS version 4.1.4, which requires macOS 14 or later and is notarized and signed with an Apple Developer ID, and Windows version 1.1.0, published on 31 July 2026, which requires 64-bit Windows 10 or later.

How much does Twinly cost?

The Free plan is $0 and includes 5 tasks a day with no card required. Starter is $20 a month, Pro is $50 a month, and Max is $100 a month.

Does Twinly require an API key?

Every plan runs on Twinly's managed engine, so no API key is required. Only grandfathered beta builds (2.1.3 and earlier) use the owner's own model key. The Developer API draws on the same plan.

How is Twinly different from other computer-use AI agents?

Many computer-use agents only see a screenshot and guess where to click. Twinly uses the most direct way into each application first: the operating system's own interfaces for calendar, reminders, contacts, mail, and messages; an application's scripting interface; a connected app's own tools; and on websites, the page's own elements, so it fills fields by their labels and clicks by the words on buttons. It still looks at a screenshot after every step to see what actually happened, and works the screen with a real mouse and keyboard when an application offers nothing better.

Can Twinly send messages or spend money without asking?

The owner chooses how much Twinly asks: Ask me every time (every action that changes anything waits), Ask before it ships (anything that leaves the machine waits), or Don't ask, the default, where Twinly sends, spends, and deletes on its own and shows each text or email for 5 seconds before it goes so it can be stopped. In every mode, Twinly's questions, messages to family, and payments over the owner's spending limit wait for approval.

Is there a record of what Twinly did?

Calendar events, reminders, and file changes Twinly makes can be undone for 30 minutes; sent messages, calls, and payments cannot, and the app says so. A task that stops partway can be picked up where it stopped without sending anything twice.

What Twinly is not

  • Not a chatbot or a browser extension. It is a native desktop application that operates the applications already installed on the machine.
  • Not a cloud agent running on someone else's virtual machine. It works on the owner's computer, with the owner's existing logged-in sessions.
  • Not unchecked. By default it acts without asking, but each text or email it sends shows for 5 seconds first, messages to family and payments over the owner's limit always wait, and every action is recorded. The owner can switch to asking before every action.
  • Not a replacement for a screen reader or an accessibility tool.
  • Not able to drive text-free 3D or WebGL canvases, such as CAD viewports, where no structured channel and no readable text exist.
